Why we're raising

A space to make, shop, and gather — built by the community it's for.

We believe shopping is more fun when you get to create, and that a town is better with a place to make things together. Modern Makers & More will be that place: a studio where you can sit down and craft, a shop stocked with handmade goods from us and local makers, and a calendar full of classes for every skill level.

Opening a brick-and-mortar takes real upfront investment — the build-out, the tools, the first round of inventory and supplies. That's where you come in. Every pledge helps turn the lights on, and every backer gets a thank-you and a reward to match.

How does the payment work?
Pledges are processed securely through Square. When you choose a tier, you'll be taken to a Square checkout to complete your pledge. You'll get an email confirmation with your reward details.
When will I get my reward?
Each tier shows an estimated delivery window. Smaller items like notes and stickers ship within the first month or two after the campaign funds; experience rewards like opening night and memberships begin when the studio opens. We'll keep every backer updated by email.
What happens if the goal isn't reached?
We're running this on our own. If we come up short of the goal, I'll reach out to outside support to finish the funding. Either way, your support is appreciated and your rewards will ship!
Is my pledge a donation or a purchase?
It's a pledge toward launching the studio in exchange for the reward at your tier — not a tax-deductible charitable donation. If you have questions about a specific tier, just reach out before pledging.
Can I pledge more than a tier amount?
Absolutely. Pick the reward tier you'd like, and if you'd like to add extra support on top, there's room to do that at checkout. Every bit helps us open sooner.

My story

Hi, I'm Sarena.

Hi friends and for those who I don't know yet, it's nice to meet all of you. I look forward to getting to know you. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to consider supporting my business venture.

My name is Sarena, I am a Christ follower, a wife, a mom, a homeschooler, and for decades this is how I have described myself. But, today I get to add business owner, dream follower, and goal achiever. While none of the previous descriptors have gone away I get to add to it while seeing my dreams fulfilled.

I love people, as those of you who know me can attest to this. I love to be surrounded by people, I love to laugh and I love to help. My life has been one adventure after another between our military moves, all over the world, and marrying a man that keeps me on my toes with his own big dreams. But, these past handful of years, as we settle into the central Texas area, I have been wondering what's next? I have always been prepared to care for my kiddos, all five of them, and my guy wherever we are and wherever we go. Whether that was packing a house, homeschooling on C-5's or traveling. Now, though, I have the time and a sense of permanency that has helped me realize my dreams.

All of my adventures, interactions, relationships, and misadventures has led me to here and I am so excited to add owner and creator of Modern Makers and More to the ways I describe myself. :)
